Loofah is a plant whose leaves, fruit, and water are also used in addition to its seeds. Our pesticide-free hechima oil from Toyama is extracted from loofah seeds. After harvesting the loofah fruit, the pulp is removed, the fruit is left to dry in the sun, the seeds are removed, and the oil is extracted using careful extraction techniques. All processes are done by hand. Approximately 500 seeds can be harvested from one loofah seed oil, and approximately 120 seeds are required to obtain 1ml of purified loofah seed oil.
