Toyama Hechima Project

TOYAMA HECHIMA PROJECT

concept

Loofah is grown in the melted snow of the Tateyama mountain range.
Unraveling the skin.

For over 40 years, we have been growing loofahs without the use of pesticides on the land in Toyama.
We will continue to create with honesty, honesty, and transparency.
Every step of the process, from sowing to delivery, is closely monitored.
It's our job to not take shortcuts.

~From seed to harvest~

Elementary schools in Toyama Prefecture / Conducted every year

Loofah Industries will also be helping fourth graders in elementary schools in Toyama Prefecture have the opportunity to grow and learn about loofahs in their science classes. If you wish, we will also visit elementary schools and give lectures.
Seeds are sown in the spring, used as green curtains to cool classrooms during the summer, and harvested by the children in the fall.
This is an experiential learning experience that connects you with local industry while experiencing the growth of plants.

The power that a loofah has

🌊

reduce microplastics

For example, simply replacing the 1,000 dishes a year with loofah sponges can significantly reduce the amount of plastic in wastewater. You can also be more environmentally friendly by replacing your body towel with a loofah.

💧

Additive-free material that is gentle on the skin

Hechima Kochi products are even manufactured without the use of pesticides. Completely additive-free. It can be used safely even by people with sensitive skin and babies.

🌿

Reduce cooling energy

A green curtain made of loofah leaves prevents the temperature from rising from the outside and reduces the need for air conditioning. It has the effect of shading windows and walls from the outside. It's popular these days as there are more and more hot days.

♻️

Circulating materials that return to the soil

Grow, use, and return to the earth. Unlike plastic, it returns to nature. This cycle is what makes for a rich life. When you finish using a scrubbing brush, you can bury it in the soil and it will return to nature.
