Loofah fiber is said to be quick-drying and has deodorizing and antibacterial effects, keeping the waist area, which tends to get stuffy with sweat, comfortable. A special edition using Ise cotton, a traditional craft from Ise City, Mie Prefecture, which is dyed with Ise katagami paper on one side. It can be used on both sides and can be used for six months to a year if washed by hand.
This is a stylish strip. My favorite is the pink Ise cotton that matches the red obi of the yukata.

I saw a band made from Ise Momen at an event and had it made in my favorite houndstooth pattern. The shingles are handmade one by one in their own workshop, from cultivation to harvesting of the loofah, and I love that they are so carefully made. I am using it for a yukata, and the houndstooth pattern strip that can be seen at a glance is cute and stylish.
