[Exam summary]

We conducted a "halo test" to examine the antibacterial activity of blended water with antibacterial loofah water, getto water, and highly acidic Tamagawa hot spring water.

[What is the halo test]

The halo test is a qualitative test that examines the antibacterial properties of a sample. A test piece impregnated with the specimen is placed in a medium inoculated with the target bacteria, cultured, and the growth of bacteria around the test piece is confirmed. If the sample has antibacterial properties, a circle (inhibition circle) will be formed around the test piece where bacteria will not grow. It is said that the larger the diameter of the circle, the higher the antibacterial properties.

[What is E. coli]
